BLURB:

The Weiss Strande Hotel is in trouble. Business just isn’t what it used to be when Tyler’s father ran the family-owned hotel. On top of business being down, dad’s sick with cancer and bills have skyrocketed.

Desperate to save his family interest, Tyler and his best friend sink their hopes and what’s left of their money into a new venture: a nightclub at the hotel. It’s imperative that the White Room is a success, or else the hotel will go under. Lady Luck seems to be with them, however, because they manage to sign the mega-popular rock group Heaven Sent to play the grand opening.

Already a huge fan of the group, Tyler couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to his hotel. He’s not at all prepared for the bomb of lust that hits him when he’s finally face-to-face with the painfully gorgeous lead singer, Johnnie Heaven. No, it couldn’t be lust. Yes, Johnnie’s probably the most beautiful person he’s ever seen, but Tyler is straight. It must be a misguided form of hero worship that he’s feeling.

Tyler finds out that he and Johnnie share an obsession: video games. When Johnnie invites Tyler to his room to play, Tyler jumps at the chance. Who wouldn’t snap up the opportunity to spend time with their idol? He and Johnnie have a great time with the games, but Tyler soon discovers that Johnnie’s got more in mind. The rock star’s aims to introduce Tyler to a whole new level of game play.

Tyler tried to put Johnnie’s whereabouts from his mind, but he couldn’t quite manage it. He knew when Johnnie left the bar and trailed along into the dark part of the room behind the couch. Tyler panicked, wondering what he was doing, but he didn’t dare look. A click, then sounds from the bedroom, told him that Johnnie had left the room. Tyler bit his lip and fought a groan, not wanting to think of Johnnie anywhere near a bed. The sound of running water told him that the man was in the bathroom, but then his mind filled with what Johnnie looked like wet. He was like that in one of the band’s videos, and Tyler had always suppressed the fact that he found that video particularly stimulating.

Yeah, he had to get out of here! continue reading

EXCERPT – Heaven Sent: Pretty Red Ribbon

This entry is part 2 of 10 in the series Heaven Sent excerpts

Pretty Red Ribbon coverThis is a little bit of a quickie that I did for Loose Id’s Twelve Days of Kissmas. It’s a little shot of Tyler and Johnnie from Heaven on their first Christmas together.

Available in ebook from Loose Id

BLURB:

Tyler and Johnnie are supposed to spend their first Christmas alone together, but Tyler gets pulled away on hotel business. While he’s gone, Johnnie is busy wrapping an extra special present for his lover, all dressed up in a pretty red ribbon.

****************************

Tyler stared at the silent television. Christmas music drifted through the air from the closed bedroom door. Had Johnnie gone to bed? It was only nine o’clock, absurdly early for him even if the two of them had been up most of the previous night. They’d spent Christmas Eve and this morning at Amy’s house, enjoying Tyler’s young nieces’ Christmas cheer. But tonight was supposed to be for him and Johnnie. Their first Christmas as a married couple.

Tyler sighed, closing his eyes in defeat. His fault. He shouldn’t have left. Or he should have allowed them to go away for the night as Johnnie suggested. He turned toward the closed bedroom door and headed for it, ready to face the music. Christmas music, that is. Of course, the faint strains of holiday cheer coming from the bedroom didn’t mean Johnnie was awake. He often liked to listen to music as he went to sleep.

Tyler saw the scrap of thick, red, faux velvet ribbon sticking out from under the door, lit by a soft light that peeped through the crack. Stalling, he bent to pick it up but it proved to be longer than he thought. He pulled until it resisted, attached to something. continue reading

EXCERPT – Heaven Sent 2: Purgatory

This entry is part 3 of 10 in the series Heaven Sent excerpts

Purgatory coverThe second Heaven Sent book.

This one’s Luc’s story.

Available in ebook at ARe

Available in ebook at Fictionwise

Available in print at Amazon – with Heaven

Available in print at Barnes & Noble – with Heaven

Available in ebook at Barnes & NobleHeaven and Purgatory print cover

BLURB:

Lucas Sloane defines beautiful for Reese. Tall and sleek with gorgeous red hair and deep, dark eyes to drown in, it’s no wonder that the famous bass player is the hero of many a starry-eyed teenager’s dreams.

Reese used to be one of those teens. Back when Heaven Sent was no more than the house band for the local club, Purgatory. Back then, it was easy to get to know Luc. To become friends with him. Somehow, Reese found the courage to take heart in hand and confess his love to Luc… only to be soundly rejected. Luc wasn’t gay. Not long after, Heaven Sent left town and skyrocketed into rock and roll stardom.

Now, six years later, Luc is back in town for a visit and more gorgeous than ever. Surprisingly, he not only apologizes for his treatment of Reese years ago, he comes onto him. Seems Luc’s discovered the pleasures of being with a man and wants to know what it’d be like between the two of them.

But Reese can’t. He just can’t. He lives the straight and narrow. He teaches high school. He’s got a girlfriend. He has a normal life. He can’t be gay.

Of course, it’s really very hard to deny the man who’s defined everything beautiful in Reese’s artistic mind. Okay. No one has to know about it, right?

Reese toed off his shoes in the tiled entryway of his townhouse, tossing his jacket — his only dry piece of clothing — onto a nearby chair. The shoes were ruined. His socks were soaked and stunk something awful. No, it wasn’t just the socks. With a new spate of curses, he started ripping at the shirt and slacks to get them off. How much was he going to have to pay for doing this to a rental? Thoroughly disgusted, he dropped his underwear last, letting the cotton splat onto the tiles.

Amazingly enough, he was half hard. Damn Luc!

Fuming, he stomped up the narrow flight of stairs and into the bathroom through the door that opened onto the upper landing. He cranked on the water and stepped under the spray before it was quite warm enough. He had to get the sour fish pond smell off his skin. Diligently, he scrubbed his skin until he was red all over and washed his hair twice. The second time wasn’t quite necessary, but he was trying his best to distract himself from his errant thoughts and the hard on that wouldn’t go away. continue reading

EXCERPT – Heaven Sent: Feisty Little Firecracker

This entry is part 4 of 10 in the series Heaven Sent excerpts

Feisty Little Firecracker coverA quick bit of smut for Loose Id’s Sparkler series. This is Brent and Hell from Hell about to watch a fireworks show.

Available in ebook at Loose Id

BLURB:

In Hell, Brent learned that “little” and “cute” didn’t mean feminine or submissive. New band member Hell showed him love and pleasure like he’d never known it. Now, Brent’s late and Hell’s pissed. Hell loves fireworks and he was looking forward to watching the Fourth of July fireworks show with his lover from the balcony of their new lakeside home. Brent screwed up and now he’s got to make it up to his little firecracker in the best way he knows how.

Brent toed off his Birkenstocks as he headed for the door and reached down to grab the hem of his T-shirt to pull it off. He fumbled with it, then managed to toss the garment into a nearby chair. Left only with his cargo shorts, he stopped in the doorway.

Hell didn’t turn, didn’t move from gazing up at the sky. “You’re late.” His tone was cool, but maybe he wasn’t too mad. A pop and a swish and a trail of sparkling white shot into the sky, giving a silvery sheen to Hell’s lavender curls. continue reading

BLURB:

Heaven Sent gets a hell of new keyboardist with a name to match. Heller Witting is an amazing musician and proves to be the answer to a sound that the band was missing. With lavender hair and big violet eyes, he captivates Brent Rose from the start, and not just with his music.

Brent knows better than to get involved with a member of the band. That just invites trouble and that’s the last thing he wants for Heaven Sent. So he’ll just keep the attraction to himself. Doesn’t matter anyway. Hell couldn’t possibly want him. After all, Brent’s not gorgeous and flashy like the other members of the band.

When Hell makes his interest in Brent all too obvious, Brent is unprepared and unable to stay away.

Fine, if they just keep it at sex, everything will be all right.

“I’ve been watching you.”

He patted his pocket for his pack of smokes. “Yeah.” He’d just have another one, and hopefully Hell would head on up to his room alone.

BLURB:

Darien’s best friends are the other guys in the rock band Heaven Sent. The three—now four—of them are closer than brothers to him and he’s happy that they’ve all found their life mates. He is. He doesn’t at all mind that each of those life mates are men. He doesn’t.

In fact, that’s just it. Maybe there’s something to this gay stuff. He’s never been particularly interested before, but after a short, failed marriage, he’s willing to open himself up to new possibilities. Especially if one of those possibilities is the gorgeous lawyer who handled his divorce, Christopher Faith.

Trouble is, Chris doesn’t seem to want to believe that Darien’s serious. Well, sure, Darien’s never slept with a guy before, but he’s allowed to change his mind. Isn’t he?

Chris turned and crossed the hardwood floor on socked feet to stand before Darien. The smell of mint and wet dirt made Darien look at the bowl. Yep, mud. While he was still frowning at the bowl, Chris kissed his cheek then reached beside him, using a knuckle to flip on the recessed lighting that lined the ceiling along two walls. Violet-tinged shadows fled and the soft glow filled the bedroom. Giving Darien a brief smile, Chris turned and rounded their California king bed to the other window. continue reading

Available in ebook at ARe

Available in ebook from Fictionwise

Available in ebook at Barnes & Noble

This one is about all four couples. That’s right. All four: Johnnie/Tyler, Luc/Reese, Hell/Brent & Darien/Chris. I revist every one of them again as they deal with the fact that Brent’s hurt his hand and won’t be able to play in their upcoming New Year’s concert at the new ski resort & spa called Genesis.

BLURB:

The week before Heaven Sent’s New Year’s performance, Brent fractures his hand, which puts him out of commission for the show. Fortunately, it’s not permanent, but it leaves he and Hell dealing with the “what if,” not to mention Brent’s jealousy of the guitarist taking his place. As the band members and their partners struggle to adjust, the stress brings their personal issues to light:

* Tyler wants to be a parent but he’s not sure Johnnie will agree. Johnnie feels the strain in their relationship, but doesn’t know how to make it right.

* Luc has gotten a big break in a new movie, but his new co-star wants more than his onscreen love. Reese trusts Luc, but he can’t help loathing his leading lady.

* Chris takes a job that will keep him away from Darien over the New Year’s. If that weren’t bad enough, Chris’s new client is his ex, and Darien knows the ex wants Chris back.

Heaven Sent needs more than a miracle to find their happily ever after. It needs…a new beginning..

“Palm Springs?”

Owen stared at his monitor. “Yeah.”

Jane sighed and perched on the far edge of his desk. “And she just met him this last week?”

“Yeah.”

“Damn. What a life.”

“Yeah.”

“Oh God, would you stop mooning already?”

Scowling, he checked that the office door was closed. “Be a little louder, why don’t you?”

She reached up to smooth a hand over her short, straight black hair. “Oh, no one’s going to hear. Just about everyone’s gone home.”

He turned back to his monitor and tried to ignore her.

He’d known it wouldn’t work. She sat up further on his desk, leaning toward him. “Owen, you know you don’t have a chance with her, right?” continue reading
