EXTENDED REMIX!

Includes the short story Sexy Spring Surprise.

The remix includes scenes from Luc’s point of view!

BLURB:

Lucas Sloane defines beautiful for Reese.

Tall and sleek with gorgeous red hair and deep, dark eyes to drown in, it’s no wonder that the famous bass player of Heaven Sent is the hero of many a starry-eyed teenager’s dreams. Reese used to be one of those teens back when Heaven Sent was no more than the house band for the local club, Purgatory. Back then, Reese found the courage to confess his love to Luc…only to be soundly rejected. Luc wasn’t gay. Not long after, Heaven Sent left town and skyrocketed into rock and roll stardom.

Now, four years later, Luc is back in town for a visit and more gorgeous than ever. Surprisingly, he not only apologizes for his treatment of Reese years ago, he comes onto him. Luc’s discovered the pleasures of being with a man and wants to know what it’d be like between the two of them. But Reese can’t. He lives the straight and narrow, teaches high school…he’s even got a girlfriend. He has a normal life. He can’t be gay. But it’s hard to deny the man who’s defined everything beautiful in Reese’s artistic mind.

No one has to know about it, right?

Reese stretched his legs before him, staring at the squared toes of his shiny black leather shoes. That perverse need to talk that takes you over when you’re drunk grabbed him by the balls. “After you guys left, things just weren’t the same.”

Luc said nothing, so Reese continued. “Parties just weren’t all that much fun anymore. At first they were all about what you guys were doing and being happy for you.  We had some ragers when your first album came out.” He smiled at the memories, most of which were hazy and melancholy. He’d been joyous for the success of people he knew, but he’d also been sad. “But you weren’t ours anymore, y’know? You belonged to the world.” A glance up showed those dark eyes on him. Gentle, patient, waiting. For what, he didn’t know and currently didn’t have the brain capacity to contemplate. He shrugged. “We all… oh, I don’t know. We all felt part of it somehow, at first, but then —” He shook his head, eyes on the moon. “— then it was just empty. Just didn’t seem a reason to go out anymore. The only thing left was to grow up.”

“Fuck that.”

BLURB:

The Weiss Strande Hotel is in trouble. Business just isn’t what it used to be when Tyler’s father ran the family-owned hotel. On top of business being down, Dad’s now sick with cancer so bills have skyrocketed. Desperate to save his family livelihood, Tyler sinks his hopes and money into a new venture: a nightclub at the hotel. It’s imperative that the White Room is a success, or else the hotel will go under. Lady Luck seems to be with them, however, because they manage to sign the mega-popular rock group Heaven Sent to play the grand opening.
Already a huge fan of the group, Tyler couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to his hotel. He’s not at all prepared for the bomb of lust that hits him when he’s finally face-to-face with the painfully gorgeous lead singer, Johnnie Heaven. No, it couldn’t be lust. Yes, Johnnie’s probably the most beautiful person he’s ever seen, but Tyler is straight! It must be a misguided form of hero worship that he’s feeling.
Tyler finds out that he and Johnnie share an obsession: video games. When Johnnie invites Tyler to his room to play, Tyler jumps at the chance. Who wouldn’t snap up the opportunity to spend time with their idol?
He and Johnnie have a great time with the games, but Tyler soon discovers that Johnnie’s got more in mind. The rock star’s aims to introduce Tyler to a whole new level of game play.

Tyler tried to put Johnnie’s whereabouts from his mind, but he couldn’t quite manage it. He knew when Johnnie left the bar and trailed along into the dark part of the room behind the couch. Tyler panicked, wondering what he was doing, but he didn’t dare look. A click, then sounds from the bedroom, told him that Johnnie had left the room. Tyler bit his lip and fought a groan, not wanting to think of Johnnie anywhere near a bed. The sound of running water told him that the man was in the bathroom, but then his mind filled with what Johnnie looked like wet. He was like that in one of the band’s videos, and Tyler had always suppressed the fact that he found that video particularly stimulating.

Yeah, he had to get out of here!

“Tyler, please come with me to my office.”

Tyler exchanged glances with James across the table. The younger footman raised a questioning brow, but Tyler could only shrug.

“Yes, sir.” He removed the apron that protected his clothing, then handed it and a feather duster to James before he followed Mr. Faith from the dining room.

A narrow set of stairs near the door led them down to the servants’ hall just outside the kitchen. Wet heat and the din of washing dishes closed around him, a sensation that had become familiar in the scant time he had been at Rose Hall. In nearly a month, he had settled into the routine happily. It was good work that dominated his day. A myriad of tasks left him little free time. More footmen had been hired, and they were all needed to keep the house running smoothly. He especially enjoyed helping Mr. Faith in the wine cellar and the pantry and had been sent into town a few times with the driver to fetch supplies. His one day off in the week, he walked to Claire to see his family. Occasionally he had time to make use of the permission given through Mr. Faith to borrow from the hall’s extensive library. He had no complaints.

Mr. Faith held the office door for him, then closed it after they were inside. Tyler stood before the desk as Mr. Faith rounded it to sit.

“Please, sit.”

He did.

“Would you be open to a position as the earl’s valet?”

“I beg your pardon?” Continue reading EXCERPT: Rose Family Chronicles 1: Valet

Kiss Him – Part 2

This entry is part 2 of 2 in the series Kiss Him

NOT WORKSAFE. Gay sex ahead.

Yes, I realize that Brady settles into this way too easily. I get that something like this requires a lot more thought. But this is my short little fluffy story and I say that Brady doesn’t have a lot of hang-ups 🙂

Again, no betas on this one so any errors you see are all mine. In fact, as of this moment, I’ve only re-read it once. My haste is due to the fact that I’ve got another project to get on with and I can’t have this hanging over my head. So, please enjoy and please excuse any little bits that are off.

To say Brady was distracted that night was an understatement. He managed to make himself sit down and open his textbook but he didn’t retain much. Lying in his bed, he couldn’t focus on running dates and names through his head. Instead, he thanked his luck that his roommate had a girlfriend to spend the night with, leaving him alone so he could jerk off in peace. Thinking of Chris.

Weird. Too weird. Panic about what he was thinking kept him from concentrating as he walked to class. Was he gay? Really? Did he really want a guy? He glanced at other guys on his way and none of them did anything for him. But, then again, he’d never really liked any girls on sight either. He’d never asked anyone out until he’d known her for awhile. He liked spending time with friends.

He did his best to push everything aside once he sat down at his desk, but it was pretty much impossible. He did the best he could and completely wrote off whatever grade he got, knowing there’d been no chance. He left the hall then rushed back to the dorm, blowing off the friends who tried to stop him to talk. There was only one person he wanted to see. He took a shower, wanting to feel his best. He wondered if he should bring something with him to see Chris, then laughed at himself when he imagined giving his friend flowers.

In the end, it was just him in shorts and a t-shirt knocking on Chris’s door. Continue reading Kiss Him – Part 2

Kiss Him – Part 1

This entry is part 1 of 2 in the series Kiss Him

I meant this to be a cute little short. I didn’t mean for it to have two parts. But in a completely non-surprising move, my characters disagreed with me.

Haven’t written part 2 yet but I think I know what it is. So maybe next week?

No sex. Yet.

And no one’s read this except me so any editing or inconsistency errors are all mine.

“Kiss him!”

Brady jumped out of his skin at the outburst. Shocked, he sat back in his chair and turned around. Two overly excited co-eds were leaning on the edge of the heavy table, watching him and Chris with hungry eyes and anxiously parted lips. Around them, individuals at other tables looked up from their textbooks and hissed but neither of his classmates seemed to notice.

“What?”

Scattering open textbooks and lined papers covered in notes, Tina practically lay on the table as she reached for his hand to squeeze it. “Please!” she implored, making heavy with the puppy dog eyes. Behind her, Zenobia folded her hands up under her chin and grinned at him.

Confused, he looked from her to the friend who sat at his side. “What’s she talking about?”

Chris was looking at the girls with a big, amused grin. “I think they thought you were going to kiss me.” Continue reading Kiss Him – Part 1

Despite the god-awful wind chill and the horrible snow, Danny whistled as he hurried from the train stop to his building. A pizza takeout box prevented him from putting one gloved hand in the pocket of his overcoat, but it wasn’t that long of a walk and took even less time if he trotted. Plus, the action helped to keep him warm.

What the hell was he doing in Chicago anyway? He was a southern California boy. His blood was too thin for snow! But to follow his dream, he’d brave the weather and suffer the indignity of being the only member of his band who had to get a job to pay the bills for his tiny little apartment. He’d bear the culture shock of coming home from an expensive, all-expense-paid weekend at a posh ski resort to immediately agree to take the lunch shift at the pizza place where he worked. Although he’d been able to save up enough to cover January’s rent, he was still low on utility and food money, so the extra shift, even right after his time off, was welcome. The savings that had helped him moved to Chicago had dwindled to under a thousand dollars, and he really didn’t want to use any more of it if he could help it.

So, all things considered, Danny could brave the hellish cold.

Once in the lobby of his building, he breathed a little easier. Just being in from the wind raised his body temp enough that he could loosen his scarf as he began the three-story climb to his place. He even jogged up, telling himself he was working off the pizza in advance. Cash wasn’t in the main room when Danny entered the apartment, but there was nothing new about that. He’d been out cold when Danny had come in last night and long gone by the time Danny woke in the late morning. After putting the pizza on the table in front of the couch, Danny went down the hall and tossed his coat and scarf through his open bedroom door before sticking his head inside Cash’s room. Cash sat with his eyes glued to the monitor, fingers flying over the keyboard. He wore jeans and a sweater, outside gear that told Danny he’d gone to school today. Or, at least, had gone out. Otherwise, he’d be wearing sweats, and his hair wouldn’t look like it had been introduced to a comb.

Danny knocked on the door frame to get Cash’s attention. “Hey.”

It took a moment for Cash’s fingers to wind to a stop and his head to turn. For a second it was like he’d never seen Danny before in his life, but then recognition dawned as his brain emerged from whatever cyberspace he’d been in. “You’re back.”

“Hungry? I’ve got pizza,” Danny prompted, to further encourage the human in his roommate.

Finally, it was there. Cash nodded eagerly. “Yeah. I’ll be right out.”  Continue reading EXCERPT – Indigo Knights 2: Champion

Nick and Marlowe aren’t like my other rockers. Not really. A little grittier. This series doesn’t gloss over the presence of drugs in the world of rock and roll.

Don’t let the mention of girls at the beginning of the excerpt fool you. Both Marlowe and Nick are bisexual — Marlowe knowingly, Nick is the gay-for-you — but all the sex in the book is m/m.

BLURB

Sex. Drugs. Rock ‘n Roll. Nick Gorman’s got it all. He’s on top of the world, living his dream, playing guitar on stage in front of thousands of people with non-other than Marlowe. The famous singer could have had his choice of anyone to replace his former guitarist, but he picked Nick to tour with him. Now Nick’s star is on the rise, all thanks to Marlowe, who’s not only Nick’s idol but is fast becoming a terrific friend.

In the blink of an eye, it all turns upside down. A drug-hazed time in a bed alone with Marlowe forces Nick to be aware that the rock star’s interest in him is more than just friendly. Then, before he can even react to that, both singer and guitarist are in a near-fatal accident that could ruin both their careers.

What now? Marlowe’s in jail for two years and Nick is broken. Could they ever play together again, let alone explore the sizzling reverberations that still exist between them?

Dance music filled Nick’s head, guiding the throb of his heart. His skin was alive, the merest brush of a breeze was like someone was licking his dick. Nick didn’t usually dance but the drugs in his system had him gyrating and twisting with dozens of other bodies underneath the streaks of a portable strobe light. Maybe he wasn’t so much dancing as just moving to the beat. That he could do. The very ground was pushing at the soles of his feet, making him move. He wasn’t quite sure what to do with his hands but a few willing girls were happy to give him nice handholds. In turn, they ran soft hands and curious fingers over his bare back and arms, some taking a bit more advantage to cup his ass or slide around front to brush the bulge of his half hard cock through his jeans. Gloriously free, Nick closed his eyes, twisted, turned then buried his face in a fragrant neck as his senses expanded beyond any scope of reality. Continue reading EXCERPT – Reverb

Carson’s quiet sobbing filled the early morning air. Heedless of the expensive red Chinese silk of his robe, he sat on the dusty floor of his balcony, back wedged against the stucco wall, shoulder against the sturdy wooden posts of the railing. Dawn had just broken over the roof of the apartments across the courtyard from his, washing his haven in weak golden light. Summer was on the wane, and fall had taken root, turning the leaves of some of the trees that shaded him from green to dusky brown. Hugging his folded legs, he rested his forehead on his knees and gave in to the misery that was his life.

“You better think hard, baby.” Anthony’s cruel tone echoed in his head. “You go on and see how far you get without me.”

Despite his anger, Carson knew the answer to that — he wouldn’t get very far without Anthony to support him. His job with the burlesque show would barely cover the rent on his apartment and utilities. He’d become far too accustomed to relying on Anthony for all the little extras like clothing, entertainment, and food. For a glorious six months, Anthony had taken care of him. He knew that. Silly him to think that since the man had done so thus far, he’d want to do so on a more permanent basis. He’d thought that moving in together and becoming a real couple was the next step.

Boy, had he been wrong. Continue reading EXCERPT – A Rose is a Rose

He followed Izzy up the porch and into the darkened house but felt oddly reluctant to head to his room. He’d been having a good time with Izzy.

“Want a snack?” Izzy stood, just a silhouette in the entrance to the kitchen, backlit by the moonlight from the bay window.

Given an excuse, Rabin decided it was just that. “Nah. I think I’m just going to head on up to bed.” Bed. The word had a charge to it that made him look away. Even if he was feeling attraction — and that’s probably what it was, strangely enough — he wasn’t going to do anything about it. It was a weird night. One that should end before anything happened. “’Night.”

“’Night.” Continue reading EXCERPT: Indigo Knights: Squire
