But, I do tend to watch the Oscars. Dunno, guess since it’s “the big one” I’m still fascinated. I rather liked last night’s show. Hugh Jackman was great and I personally think that was one of the best opening sequences ever. I also liked the change in having the 5 former winners announce the nominees for supporting actress, supporting actor, best actor and best actress. OK, maybe it was a bit too personal at moments, but I thought it was very nice and very tasteful. All in all, I was happy.

I was very happy that Milk got two such prestigious awards. Both Dustin Lance Black and Sean Penn’s speeches were lovely and both emphasized the need for equality for everyone. Loved it.
